Ducks in a row/leaving fund

I feel my marriage is on the verge of crumbling due to some issues recently.
I would like to know what everyone classes as ducks in a row and what your “escape fund” would look like.
I am safe so that isn’t a concern.
Young children and mortgage are involved.

Seperate bank accounts already and I have a secret one with around £1000 as my ultra emergency fund (prev dv with ex, learnt my lesson there)
I just need some help and reassurance. It may not come to this but I just need to be ready.

Try to have six months rent and a deposit for whichever area you need to live in. Good luck

Ducks in a row
Collect information about wages (P60s), savings, pensions, investments, expensive items like cars, motorbikes, hobby for both sides. Find out equity in house. Find out if/how much mortgage you could raise on your salary. If working parttime can you get more hours or a different job. Apply for jobs.
Keep marriage certificate, passports and birth certificates in a safe place.
Find, and pay for a one off consultation with a solicitor. Best money you will ever spend. Knowledge is freeing.

Escape fund - minimum.
Needs to cover rental deposit and preferably two months rent.
Enough for two months bills and food for all. Include petrol, school dinners etc.

That's the basics, you will need to tweak it for your personal circumstances.

Make sure you have copies/access to the originals of all important paperwork. Hide your passports and birth certificates with a relative or trusted friend sooner rather than later

I read somewhere about this being called The Waterfowl Protocol and it tickled me.
