Accessing someone’s texts

Is there any way a person can have another persons texts appearing on their device ?
A very close friend of my DM said something, and the only way they could have known is if they had read her texts, and I’ve got a feeling that they somehow have access from their own device. It would be very easy for this person to have accessed my DM’s phone and done something to it.

you have a very confusing posting history when it comes to your DM

Isn't it more likely they accessed her phone and read her messages. But according to tv you can track someone's messages remotely no clue how

Ok , my DM has this friend that I don’t really trust. DM lets her access her phone and iPad, plus this woman is very tech savvy.
If it’s not possible then I’m relieved.

I think there is an app you can use that means you have download someone's messages onto your own phone. Some parents use it I believe to read all their children's messages

Yes you can download a shadow app.

You can search the phone for recently installed apps, Google is your friend here, she might have put her WhatsApp on her laptop.

But you can block it.

But you will need mum's phone and Google.

Well yes there could be a key logger or spy software installed.
