Why can't I keep it clear?
There's 1000's of unread messages in there.
I unsubscribe to stuff every day.
It's just overwhelming.

I delete immediately unless they're important, in which case they get filed in separate folders so I can get back to them easily. I also unsubscribe brutally and with gay abandon, it's not like it's hard to resubscribe should the need arise.

@TigerDroveAgain I never heard that unsubscribing could be dodgy. I always do it. Now I'm curious to know how it could be risky. I don't usually block any company, just unsubscribe if I buy something and start getting loads of emails.

I’m a bit baffled tbh. I consider myself quite a shopaholic so often get these marketing mails after I’ve bought something or signed up for a discount code - I delete as and when they come in if I can. And if I can’t, I couldn’t see how it would ever get to a situation where I had thousands in my inbox.Confused

I’d just be so concerned that hidden amongst all the junk would be something important from work/college/the tax office that needed my attention.

you need a separate email address for subscribing to things vs personal etc. Makes it much easier.

I keep on top of mine daily and it's always clear, I unsubscribe to everything crap.
