Good 'old' epic films

Sunday afternoon, pissing down, just had a big dinner. Looking for a sort of epic type film. Can't face Dr Zhivago, Lawrence of Arabia or Gone with The Wind but am feeling like I want something sort of nostalgic for us all to watch.

Thinking, (but seen too much) The Great Escape, Awakenings, Rain Man, Harry Potter(s).

NOT The Sound of Music or Mary Bloody Poppins.

Suggestions please!

Maybe a modern classic like "Coming Home" (Jane Fonda, Jon Voight) or "The Deer Hunter"?

Or something lighter like " Big" with Tom Hanks?

The Man who Would Be King.
Very 1970s Michael Caine and Sean Connery (with Burt Reynolds’s chest hair and sideys).

If you like Sean Connery AND chest hair, there's always Zardoz 😁

The Italian Job (the original Michael Caine one). Or for a quirkier Caine film, The Wrong Box - one of those great British films of the 60s that had so many stars in it.

"Ben-Hur" (1959). Really makes you appreciate the meaning of the expression "bigger than Ben-Hur."
