Morning all,

Anyone local have any recommendations for me today? I'm on my own for 5 hours near Bournemouth. I don't know the area but have a car and funds for something nice. Any ideas?

This is very vague - what do you like doing? Museums, walks, beach, food?

You could go round the aquarium
Or drive to Christchurch and have wander round Stewart's, one of those garden centres that sells homewares and loads else.
If your weather is anything like mine this morning, indoor activity a must.

I kept it vague on purpose. I like lots of things so the tyranny of choice is hard. Not a natural Walker but everything else is up for grabs

If you like antiques there is a lovely emporium called The Den, they have a little coffee shop too

if the weather is nice go into old town Poole, have brunch at St Tropez and then get a Beryl bike or scooter and go along the coastline

Go on a boat trip from Poole quay to Brownsea Island

Take the chain link ferry from Sandbanks to Swanage

Visit Corfe Castle

Russel-Coates art gallery and museum is lovely. Nice cafe and you can take along the prom to the Winter Gardens.
