I live on a large residential street where unfortunately people leave rubbish. As a result there are rats, and I'm terrified of them. Fortunately they aren't in my property (yet) however I used to like going for a walk late in the evenings but I've been put off now because of them.
Two nights ago after a jog, two of them ran past my feet and when I say they're the size of kittens I am not exaggerating.
It sounds pathetic but I found it traumatising and was almost in tears.
With them being nocturnal I'm now put off going out late at night because I've seen them on 3 separate occasions now.
Not sure if the council would actually do anything?
