I was born in Lancashire and never felt at home there or liked it much, although I absolutely adore Shropshire and Derbyshire.
Everywhere has it's troubled spots admittedly.
People talk a good deal about cities and towns but not so much boroughs. They do have a rather specific feel to them.
I also didn't really jive well with Yorkshire, but it seems to be famously adored!
We are moving soon and can choose anywhere within a certain framework (London and SE are out 
) so I'm interested in everyone's thoughts!
