Gift ideas 19th birthday

Any gift ideas for a female 19th birthday, budget around £100.

Was going to get jewellery and picked out some nice pieces and was then told they don't really like gold, and I can't find similar in silver 🤷🏻‍♀️

Find out what skincare they like and a gift set that make. Voucher for ASOS . Maybe a hamper you have made yourself - favourite alcohol , melts , fluffy socks , boots voucher , lush products , nice bag .

DD is nearly 19. Depends entirely on her style tbh, mine would not know what a melt is and would not use beauty products.
For mine: band t-shirt, album on vinyl, fancy tequila, new hoody, Converse.

If you are spending £100 this must be a very close relative - so why not just ask them what they would like.
At 19 all I would have wanted was books and CDs.

19 yr old GD just wants money. So does 13 yr old!

They'd prefer the money for sure. A voucher if you know them well enough to pick a safe brand / restaurant.

Because I want to choose something myself

@Princesspollyyy £100 is a LOT of money for a "I hope they like this" gift.
My girl is about to turn 16. I see posts on here about gift suggestions for 16 year old girls and the replies are always ones like beauty products, make up, jewellery, designer clothes etc.
My girl wouldn't want anything like that at all 😂
It's a bit of a risk spending 100 quid on something random.
But it's your money......

Thanks, it's not a lot of money to me, and I can easily afford it, so I'm happy to take the chance.

I know she loved Charlotte Tilbury, so I may go with something from there.

@Princesspollyyy ok....I hope she likes your choice 🙂

My daughter loves a spa day with dinner.

That sounds like a lovely idea 💡

Does she live with family or on her own? Working or still studying? Any particular interests?

-Massage/spa voucher
-In my 20's, I was given several experience type days which I loved. Gliding experience, flying a plane experience, cocktail making class, seafood class.
-Billingsgate used to do a seafood school. Waitrose cooking school have good reviews, and I would have loved that, but not everyone likes cooking.
-Gold/silver coin from 2024. Not the ones you see advertised on the TV, but one from say Baird and co. A Britannia or similar.
-Classic, solitaire diamond earrings or pendant. Pearls are classic and cheaper, but no idea whether a 19yr old would like them?
-Voucher to a nice/expensive/quirky/experience type restaurant

Edited the weird formatting 😬

Speaking as a former 19 year old, give her the cash!

Princesspollyyy · 28/04/2024 12:28

Thanks to everyone for all your suggestions, I honestly appreciate them all. Some brilliant ideas 🩷🩷
