Dilute bleach in a sink full of cold water and leave them to soak.

CommeIlFaut · 27/04/2024 08:26

Fill with water and pop in a denture cleaning tablet. Works a treat.

Steradent ! I tried it first for a travel flask I couldn’t get my hands into , worked a treat .

Dilute bleach works very quickly - just wash very well afterwards of course.

RollOnSpringDays · 27/04/2024 08:27

A drop of bleach and cold water in the cup - leave to soak for an hour or more if very stained. Rinse thoroughly.

anonima · 27/04/2024 08:27

The abrasive side of a sponge plus washing up liquid works for us

Savoyafternoon · 27/04/2024 08:28

I use bleach as well. Just a tiny drop and fill the cup with water. Leave for a while.
Possibly not the best idea but it works well.

beachmum1 · 27/04/2024 08:28

Milton works so well

Alphabet1spaghetti2 · 27/04/2024 08:28

Bit of bleach in each cup/mug, topped up with water. Leave to soak and wash well after ten minutes. I drop the teaspoons in as well as they tend to get bad.

edit to add. Milton or denture tablets are good if you have them.

Willmafrockfit · 27/04/2024 08:29

i like the sound of a denture cleaning tablet

dont like the idea of bleach
i have ruined many clothes with both bleach and Milton.

dementedpixie · 27/04/2024 08:29

Astonish oven cleaning paste and a scourer

Nitgel · 27/04/2024 08:30

hot water, washing up liquid and scrubbing with as someone said above the abrasive side of a sponge?

anonima · 27/04/2024 08:33

Am I the only one that doesn't use some kind of special products or tool? 🤔

I've used brillo pads, works great.

Savoyafternoon · 27/04/2024 08:35

@anonima I drink my tea black and my cups are white. I don't need to deal with stains often but sometimes the dishwasher doesn't get them.

Fill with boiled water and pop a dishwasher tablet in it. Leave for a couple of hours and the stains go. Its safer than bleach too.

stayathomer · 27/04/2024 08:36

Ah ok, I was thinking they’ve probably tried it but was just in case!

Washing powder or vanish powder. Make sure you wash a few times after it’s lifted the stains as you will taste it lol
