Whatsapp for iPad

DS9 only has an iPad not an iPhone. His friends are all on a WhatsApp group to arrange times to all play on Roblox together. They have iphones (a parent's old one just for this purpose).

It's not possible to have WhatsApp on an ipad. Is there a workaround? I can join the group on my iPhone for now so I can see the chat but he wants to chat on his iPad. I think I have to link the ipad to my iphone but then he'll see all my WhatsApp messages as well as me seeing his (which I would like to).

Get a free / cheap pay as you go SIM card, put it in your phone / a spare one to set up what’s app, add it the iPad and then swap your sim back. A bit of a faff but would work.

Have you got any old iphones lying around that you can set it up on, no SIM just wifi or go to CEX and buy a really cheap one. DTs started off with ipod touches for whatsapp. You can get old low generation ones for about £15
