When not pregnant or recently pregnant the uterus is the size of a walnut right? So why is they so much fucking blood every month. I don't understand how it can all fit in?

Blimey, when I tried one it was like a scene from all creatures great and small. Two teaspoons my arse.

😂when I first got a mooncup I took it out in the bath. That was a mistake

The uterus of a woman who has never given birth is no where near the size of a walnut!

The uterus of a woman in her 90s who is obviously post menopausal is the slightly larger than a walnut.

I had terrible gynae problems including flooding, clotting etc. I remember my ex saying once, after waking up to one unfortunate flooding incident at night in bed, that he didn’t know how someone could lose so much blood and not die… so that was nice.

Fresh blood is created used to ‘push through/out’ the lining of the uterus. It’s not just the blood which has built up at the start of your cycle which is expelled.

Oh this explains why I always feel washed out the first day of my period. I never understood it given that I thought I was just losing old womb lining.

I have pretty mild periods but I have a mooncup and def lose a few tablespoons of blood each month.

With the copper coil, my periods were to heavy, so as I was using a menstrual cup I decided to measure/collect one periods worth of blood 250ml. I soon had it changed for a mirena
