Flights that are cheaper than a pint of beer

I mean it's fun and an opportunity to do something I wouldn't otherwise do, but it's not right?

I'm going to Oslo for one night. Flights £12.99 each way, as I don't need luggage.

I fully expect to pay more than that for the beer in Norway (one reason for such a short trip).

I haven't flown much in years, but it seems my environmental morals go out of the window when I get invited on trips.

I don't fly much, maybe every couple of years, but I definitely wouldn't be going on this trip, for 1 day, if the flights were expensive, so it is an extra trip because of cheap flights.

I somehow don't think Michael O'Leary isn't making a profit. I looked at a flight last week and it increased by 80 in 2 days (probably because I'd searched it).

To be fair, all but a couple of those could have feasibly been by ferry/road. Maybe less likely though.

fancyfrogs · 26/04/2024 16:12

😁🍿

Waitingfordoggo · 26/04/2024 16:13

I did actually mention the environmental impact of frequent flying on the other thread but not sure if OP responded to it. Maybe it gave her pause for thought 😏

KitchenSinkLlama · 26/04/2024 16:14

Given O'Leary's comments on the Rwanda flights, I don't know how anyone would fly that airline again.

You can book flights for £12.99, that's why people, me included use them
