Anyone got/ had this nasty virus?

Started off with a tight chest and throat; then into viral tonsillitis; now have acute sinusitis and viral conjunctivitis to boot. Throat still incredibly painful especially in one place (struggling to pinpoint where!). Complete loss of energy; nausea; smoker's cough. Swollen painful face.

Almost 2 weeks and counting. It's definitely viral so AB's not going to do anything, I just have to ride it out.

Feeling so sorry for myself and fed up.

I’m sure it’s a variation of the 100 day cough that’s been around since last year. It’s awful. Night Nurse and Broncho Stop was the only thing that helped me.

Me too, feel absolutely awful, now have pain in my ear as well andnjust so tired. It's embarrassing as I can't speak without coughing, I have a chronic illness and take immune suppression drugs so going to be stuck with this a while longer. So far I've been ill for 3 weeks

I've had this for 4 weeks. Terrible hacking cough and rattling chest and I can't remember the last time I slept through the night. It just doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

I recently had the most excruciating sore throat and it developed into a phlegmy cough along with a fever and despite being told by the doctor that it was just viral over the phone, when I finally got to see someone it was strep throat and I ended up needing a whole load of antibiotics to get better because it took so long to see someone and get diagnosed

Ive had several awful viruses recently. All had different combinations of flu/cold like, feverish, shivering, exhaustion, body aches, nausea, loss of appetite, sinusitis, persistent cough. All covid like or worse!

You have my sympathy. It's awful. I'm on week 5 now, still feeling exhausted and coughing up all colours of the rainbow but I'm getting there slowly.

DH 2 weeks ahead of me, he's still coughing too. We sound awful in the mornings!
