Sainsbury's problems

I saw in the papers that there were problems this morning, but is anyone else still having issues?

My order this evening didn't arrive and when I try and book another slot on the website it just times out.

I couldn't log into the app again just now. I can log into the website ok though.

My order arrived as scheduled thankfully. Now waiting for Tesco!

Spaced them out well as once during lockdown a Sainsburys delivery rocked up followed immediately behind an Asda one! Was a little awkward!

My order arrived this morning and was complete.
I asked the driver if he had a lot of single bottles of champagne and he said he did

I've got a delivery booked for tomorrow which is just a bottle of champagne holding my slot, and now I can't check out tomorrow's actual food shop. Not the first time it's gone down a few hours before checkout!

I know not the point of the thread, but I don't understand why people hold slots with champagne that they don't actually want. Wouldn't it be better to do it with something like a couple of the big packs of toilet roll, that you will actually use if you forget to change your order/don't have time/the system crashes?

For me, it's a single item I can add that itself brings it above £40. If I forget, I don't lose a delivery charge getting the bottle of champagne I don't want. But it's also really obvious on my shopping list that I don't want it when I look back - as I edit my shop as I go along, there's a risk I won't notice loo rolls and remove them/remove them when I do want them. In no world am I buying a £50 bottle of champagne from a supermarket! 😂

Really curious as to why people do this instead of copying over a previous order .

I must try this champagne holding slot idea 😁

BlueShed · 26/04/2024 21:56

I always use four bottles of my favourite wine as the place holder so it wouldn't be an absolute disaster if it didn't turn up, rather than overpriced fizz which I don't need (much as I may want it 😃).

  • I do that because I normally remember I need to book a slot at a totally inconvenient time and don't have time there and then to think what I really need. I just want the slot confirmed and I edit the night before delivery.
  • I don't copy over a previous order or use random items like loo roll because it would then take me longer to edit the order to what I actually want. It far easier to just ditch the wine and start from an empty basket when I actually sit down to do it.

😂

I just stick my staples in, bread, milk, cat food, gin....

There were a few things missing from my order, the majority of them being Sainsburys own brand!

TwoTimesShoeShop · 28/04/2024 22:16

Anyone still not got the voucher? It says within 48 hours and it's been longer than that.

I haven't got the voucher yet either, I'm hoping it arrives tomorrow as I've already been on chat twice about it.

TwoTimesShoeShop · 01/05/2024 19:36

Had to chase several times and finally got it this morning! Ridiculous that I had to put so much effort into getting something that was an apology for them cancelling my delivery.

Hope everyone has got theirs now.

Same here, I had to chase again this week and finally got it on the third chat. I wonder if anyone got it automatically.
