Tubes tied

Anyone had their tubes tied and has it affected their periods? Someone recently said it made their periods alot heavier but I can’t find any information online if this is normally the case. Just weighing up options. TIA

I had mine done over 30 years ago, and it made no difference whatsoever to my periods. However, personal anecdotes aren’t really much use as a basis for decision making: you need to speak to a HCP or look for reputable articles online. I had my tubes removed not tied, it's more effective. The first period afterwards was heavy & I had clumps of tissue, after that it was back to normal

Ahhh good to hear! It freaked me out a bit. We are planning a final baby and I was hoping to have a c section with tubes done at the same time. Well this is the plan in my head so far 😂
