Legoland stay alternative hotels?

I want to book a Legoland stay for my young child but have read terrible Tripadvisor reviews of the hotels (overpriced, awful food, service etc, basic rooms).

Can anyone recommend a nice hotel in Windsor to stay with a young DC, and use as base for day at Legoland? Ideally with a pool.

Thank you

Might not help but my kids absolutely loved the over priced bland food and the lego decor rooms - there was a treasure hunt type thing left out for them with a prize in the safe. They consider it the best resort ever!

Honestly my 4 year old LOVED the Castle Hotel!

Sorry, I can't help with a hotel but if you have Sky TV they currently have an offer in Sky VIP for £17.50 day tickets for LL Windsor.

Oh god. I don't know if I can bear it! The food looks revolting. Apparently you have your book your breakfast slots and there are none left already!

On my to do list is the Oakley Court hotel near Windsor, featured as the castle in the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Not sure about child friendliness but it looks lovely.
