Is this a bed bug?

I have been tidying the drawers under my son's bed and found a few bugs crawling around. Worried that they are bed bugs although they don't look flat like in the pictures I've seen. Does anyone know what they might be? I can't see anything on the bed/mattress/sheets, just in the drawer under the bed.

No it looks like a 'black carpet beetle' to me.

No bed bugs don't look long and round like that. They're also nocturnal, very reticent creatures so you're unlikely to see one just pootling around in a drawer. I wouldn’t worry.

Bed bugs look like an apple pip, not like your picture.

(Ask me how I know... Dh brought them home from a trip and I REALLY know what they look like now... it was awful!)
