why are car navigator voices always female and not male and the vocie in a lift to say what floor you are on.

There are loads of articles on why AI devices are usually given a female voice, why this is sexist and why it matters.

with Google Maps and other navigation apps you get to choose male or female voice.

I’ve heard male and female voice in lifts.

My Google Assistant's male, with an English accent. This is my only reason for preferring it over Alexa!
