it was a slow night at work tonight and we were chatting, i've had a rough life and was asked, if you could change one thing from your past, what would it be?

to be honest, i wouldn't change anything, because i wouldn't want to risk what i have right now. I'm not rich, skinny or beautiful, but i have a good husband, a job, a roof over my head and most importanly i have my children and i would not risk anything to not have them in my life.

is there one thing you would change?

I wish I’d asked my mum about her life, wish I’d said thanks for all she did for me/suffered when dad left, and told her I loved her.

Never got with one particular bf. Nothing bad happened as such, but I wasted so many years that I could have been doing anything else with, including a dream job abroad which I didn't take up because I chose to stay with him instead.

I'm "only" mid-30s but so far I'd do it all again- I like my career, love my h, enjoy my dog and the home weve bought, and have a DC I'd never want to risk not having (despite finding this motherhood thing incredibly difficult more often than I'd like, id do it again in a heartbeat for him).

However like a pp, I wish I'd asked my mum so many more things. At least once a day I think- oh I should ask mum! But sadly cannot.

Perhaps I'd have tried to have DC earlier so she'd have known him, though then I suppose he wouldn't be him.
