I work in the kitchen as it's the nice spot...but maybe I should move rooms.

Anyway mindless snacking when working from home? Any ideas on how to stop boredom snacking.

I'm working on some long very dull documents so it's not as though I can chat away in meetings.

Change your mindset from you need to eat less to you need to eat better.

trying to deprive yourself of food will just make you reach for the naughty stuff even more.

pack yourself up a Tupperware box that has lots of little compartments with things you can graze on through the day.

dried fruit
nuts
cucumber/pepper/carrot/celery sticks with hummus dip
cottage cheese
boiled eggs
egg bites (great recipes online)
a few squares of dark chocolate

drink lots of water.

You’ll feel fuller for longer and won’t be feeling the need to rush off to the cupboards for naughty snacks

My downfall too! I have been known to eat a spoonful of jam or Nutella if no crisps or sweets. Best thing I’ve found is to keep drinking water with a few drops of lemon juice to fill me up - then at least snacks I do have are smaller

I'm doing the opposite. I'm designing a savoury grazing platter that I can snack on while WFH. It's all healthy stuff (and no UPFs) so I don't feel bad and I don't eat large meals, junk food or sugary stuff.

How do you feel about sugar free gum? That's what I use for when I'm bored and tempted to eat when working. Added bonus that it seems to help me concentrate when I'm working through thousands of lines of boring code.

Get a dog or cat. They will look at you disapprovingly when you go and get a snack and that will put you off.

Pumpkin seeds. It's greek week in Lidl next week, they sell big bags of them then. Like eating salty woodchips but they do the job.
