Neat teatree oil - absolute panic

Last night I used neat teatree oil on my scalp dermatitis. The cuts were open due to me scratching it in my sleep. I feel incredibly stupid for using it neat on a cut. I just didn't know. I probably doused about half a 10ml bottle on my head. Worried I'll absorb it and it's a known poison if ingested. Really worried although I do suffer from ocd so probably fixating on this more than most would. Has anyone else used this neat on a cut before?

It's absolutely fine. It's used as a disinfectant quite regularly and many people (myself included) put in on dc's scalp for nits. It can't be absorbed into your blood stream from a small scratch. What they mean by ingested is you shouldn't drink it? Which you haven't. You are absolutely fine. This is just your OCD and anxiety talking.

Yeah, like a million times. Used it on gums as well. Wonderful stuff. And used it on the kids when they were small. No issues ever.

Yes I've often put it on my gums and I am alive and kicking!

Why have you started another thread? You posted this last night and never came back to it. Why start another one exactly the same?

don't worry I've used it on my DCs neat and it's fine.
