Is there someone you wish you could've thanked? I did at the time but I wish I could thank her again!
I'll start. I gave birth in July 2023 at Wigan hospital. I'm a first time mum and had endured a very long labour and an extended stay in hospital postpartum. I hadn't slept in days and I was delirious. One night I couldn't stop crying and my baby wouldn't sleep. A woman appeared and spoke to me softly. She held my baby and rocked her. She said lovely things to me eg that I'm a brilliant mum.
Unfortunately her baby was in NICU. She had had a c section. The next day, this lovely woman and her baby were transferred to a hospital closer to where she lives (a Manchester hospital).
I wish I could remember your name and had your number. You appeared when I needed you the most. Your children are lucky to have a mum like you and I hope your youngest is doing well!
