Help - Ted Baker

I have a family event next Saturday and as I couldn't find anything suitable in local shops I panic shopped and spent over £300 on clothes on Ted Baker’s website. I was out and about dropping kids here and there, using my phone and didn’t see the small print note at the bottom of website saying the company had went into administration in March. I only noticed today as I realised I hadn’t received a dispatch email. Has this happened anyone else? How did it pan out. I feel sick as I can’t afford to lose the money.

Did you pay by credit card?

Cerealkiller4U · 22/04/2024 22:07

How did you pay?

TheHeadOfTheHouse · 22/04/2024 22:09

It’s not on that the website is still accepting payments 😡

weareallqueens · 22/04/2024 22:23

Administration isn't the final step though. I think they're still trading.

Whatadipstick · 22/04/2024 22:32

@Cerealkiller4U @TheFlis I paid by debit card.

Oh great, I've just ordered a bag, ffs.
Fingers crossed for both of us

Woahtherehoney · 22/04/2024 22:36

Contact the company and if they don’t get back to you then raise a chargeback with your bank - it’s within 120 days so you can for non receipt of goods. If it’s completely in administration you may not get the money back but it’s definitely worth a try.

I ordered after it went into administration and received my order still

@Rockfordpeach Great- did you have to wait long for your order? Did you return any items?

The online site isn’t shutting down, they are just closing some physical shops

you really need to make big purchases on a credit card if this has caused you so much panic

Whatadipstick · 22/04/2024 22:55

Thanks everyone for advice. I’ve calmed down a little. It says on the website that items are charged for on despatch. I had ordered a couple of sizes so hopefully returns will be ok.
