How often do you cook a new recipe?

I really need to get better at this! So many recipe books and lovely looking food but fussy eaters put me off from trying new things that often…..

I feel like at least once a fortnight I should try something new…. Do others do this regularly?

I use the Mealime app for day to day cookery, so I choose lots of new recipes. They are very simple, you can filter ingredients out so you aren’t offered things your fussy eaters would refuse and take about 30 mins start to finish.
I also have a million cookbooks and use those mainly when I have visitors or people round for dinner.
Edit: it writes your shopping list too, so all you have to do is remove store cupboard stuff you already have and add bread, milk etc.

We meal plan for the week on a Sunday and add in a new recipe each week so that if we like it we add it to our meal rotation. We started doing it last year and it works well as otherwise we were finding we were eating the same things over and over.

I have been trying to add new things-I love pinterest for ideas because I like seeing them-it is motivational for me as silly as that sounds.

There are some fabulous ideas there and you can search lots of ways-ie chicken/pasta/quick/healthy etc

Not often enough! I started a thread about this a while ago where we all shared new recipes we'd tried in recent weeks and resolved to try and do more.
I should go back and look at it.

I only cook dinner, really. I don't bake or do puddings or unusual lunches. So I should make more effort with my dinner recipes especially as I get bored so easily and find it all a bit samey.

A couple of times a week. Before I do my big weekly shop I plan our meals for a week and always pick a couple I haven't tried before. It's a real pleasure of mine!
