Help me choose a digital piano

Hello
I am trying to choose between a Yamaha Arius ydp 165 and a Yamaha Clavinova clp 725. DD1 (11) is now at grade 6 and DD2 (6) has just started learning. No one else plays (single parent family) and I am constrained by budget and hence these 2 models.

The clp 725 is more expensive than the arius so as such I would like to understand if it is worth the price. It should also be suitable for a 6 year old. I have asked our teacher but she doesn't have a strong preference for either since she herself plays an acoustic which i cant afford (not just the price- but the hassle puts me off). Thank you!

Have your bought your piano yet? We went to the shop looking for a beginner-intermediate piano, thinking about the 165, but once there the clavinovas were hugely better in sound quality so we ended up with a lower-spec CLP model (ours was previously owned, which also helped with price a lot, but obviously it would depend what your shop had in stock). We didn't actually like the 165 in person, preferring the 145! (The keys were oddly heavy on the 165)

Hello @BestZebbie yes - ended up with the cheapest clavinova model clp 725. Eye wateringly expensive for my budget- was shipped from Germany where it was marginally cheaper than the UK. I didn't see any recent used Clavinova models on sale on the couple of websites I visited but I also didn't look very hard. Getting the piano inside the house wasn't easy. I hope my children get good use from it!

I would suggest looking at Kawai... Oh sorry, editing because I see you have already purchased, hope your children are enjoying.
