My whole body feels a grinding internal vibration. What causes it?

Sometimes, it's worse than others. It reminds me of stones in a cement mixer. A grinding internal vibration that makes my body buzz. Once it stopped for half a minute and I could feel the silence of my body, but then it carried on. Whatever it is, it's getting louder. It's quite percussive.

are you sitting on your phone?

Beamur · 21/04/2024 21:48

When did you last check your blood pressure?

BingoMarieHeeler · 21/04/2024 21:49

There was a thread about this the other day. I woke up feeling like that the other night too actually. Anxiety most likely I’d imagine.

LookItsMeAgain · 21/04/2024 21:50

Are you hearing your own heartbeat? Could it be blood pressure? More often than not, people ignore the sound of their own blood rushing past their eardrums so it doesn’t even register to them. Others hear their heart beats and breathing so intensely. It might also be tinnitus.

I had this…it was high blood pressure

BentFork · 21/04/2024 22:01

It's not blood pressure as I check that regularly and it's spot-on healthy. It's not in my ears but in my torso, and arms & legs. I am post meno by about a year or so.

I get this too. It's really odd

BentFork · 21/04/2024 22:05

Exercise makes it significantly worse at bed time.

Maybe we are just at one with the universe or something eh

I had this with long covid

Nat6999 · 21/04/2024 23:14

Vitamin B12 deficiency, I get internal vibrations, it feels like thousands of tiny heartbeats from head to toe.

LeopardsRockingham · 22/04/2024 00:34

I second b12 deficiency.
I have this. It went away when I was om injections but now my b12 is "just" I'm the normal range, like on the edge of normal.im on tablets and now I buzz all the time.

It's really annoying

But go to your gp and try and wangle a b12 test. I think its not usually on the normal bloods they run so you have to ask for it (I could be wrong about this...but there is def one blood test that you would think would be routine but isn't done due to expense.....maybe its vit d?)

Anyway ask for a b12 blood test and beg for injections even if you are borderline

This sounds like what I get when my anxiety is bad. Feels like my body is vibrating from the inside out.
