Vinted - been hacked?

Help please! I had looked at Vinted this morning and all fine, but I’ve just gone to go in again to browse and found I was logged out of the App. Logged in again fine and noticed there were none of the usual saved searches.

I looked at my profile/settings etc and everything has been deleted except for my user name and email address. All my current listings are gone, balance is £0 (was £32), I can’t see any bank card details etc, favourited listings - all gone.

I have changed my password, notified Vinted of possible scam (says 48 hour response time), and I haven’t had any unsolicited emails from them so I haven’t clicked on any potential dodgy emails. I had an email with a 4-digit code so I could re-set the password which is normal.

I did see somewhere saying the location my account is active is about 20 miles perhaps from home - does it sound like my account has been hacked?

No idea really but keep a close eye on your bank account and maybe freeze your debit card if your bank offers the option to freeze and unfreeze easily.

If it a scam I do wonder why someone would bother to delete listings, favourited items and scars searches too, in addition to bank details? I’m hoping it’s a Vinted system issue but can’t be too careful. Once sorted I think I’ll stop using it as I keep hearing too many problems that people have.

The site was down last I looked, just looked again and one of my items was up for editing! Odd.

Yeah I’m never sure when websites ask you if you want to save your payment details .. if there’s a data breach, then presumably that’s it, although allegedly payment details are held somewhere else off site. 🤷🏻‍♀️ can’t be too careful with these things though.
