Me: playing cards and juggling balls - quality was crap. I had reinstated my Amazon Prime to get a few bits and it has reminded me how crap Amazon is. Wild west for quality. Prime cancelled.

A large apricot coloured lamp shade. It was the perfect colour and size for the lamp base but the metal ring thingy was too large to sit in the bulby bit. Really annoying. Couldn't see a way to adapt it so had to send it back.

You can get lampshade adaptors for that ! They're a couple of pounds.

Now you tell me! I thought you might be able to but no idea what they are called or where from. It's gone back now and I got a boring white one from IKEA instead!

A stapler.

Because it was delivered really dirty - covered in random shite for no particular reason - inside the parcel Confused

A bikini-I found one I preferred in another shop

Accidentally ordered x2 of a top for DD, had to return one.

DelurkingAJ · 21/04/2024 22:57

Joggers for DS1 which were a funny, slinky material. Blooming child needing a size you can’t find in the shops.

TheChosenTwo · 21/04/2024 22:59

Dh’s bloody boots! He did try to return them himself yesterday but the shop didn’t have any labels or something so I took them to a different shop today. I don’t think I’ve ever returned something to Amazon!

Ice cream cones with stacking ice cream tops toy, from the works, age 3 and up. I couldn't make the bastard things stack myself by hand, not even using the more complicated scoop tool provided, my 5yo had no chance. So many tears... At least the works did swap it out for other stuff (I always lose receipts) and amazon delivered with a working set instead. Really puts me off spontaneous purchases though with poorly designed crap...

A DVD player. Forgot DD's TV had one built-in so I cheekily returned the one I'd purchased.
I thought basic DVD players, being somewhat obsolete nowadays, were something like £15 but I paid double that plus needed a HDMI lightening cable. Felt great returning them.

A stick blender. When I unwrapped it and read the instructions,,it told you firmly that it could only be used for ONE minute, then you had to give it a rest for three minutes? Once you used it five times ( which would get you up to24 minutes, you had to turn it off and ‘let it return to room temperature’.

so basically if you used it like a stick blender*, it would catch 🔥? You have been warned….

  • like the one I bought in 1994 which has only just given up ( although only because the slot end got loose, the whisk bit still works).
