Something nicer than bog standard A4 printer paper which I have masses of, in assorted colours.

Any suggestions where's best to look?

Thanks!

Depending on what you want to do with it, Hobbycraft might have what you need.

Paperchase would have had it 😔

Amazon?

lucysmam · 21/04/2024 12:15

The closest Hobbycraft is a trek away 😥 Probably a good thing, I'd spend a fortune in there.

I'll check Amazon.

What you want probably is cotton rather than wood-based paper.

lucysmam · 21/04/2024 12:31

@SilverBranchGoldenPears I didn't know some papers were cotton based! I'll google, thank you 😊

Try tonic studios uk. Free delivery over 20GBP and they always have lots of paper packs in the sales,

SilverBranchGoldenPears · 21/04/2024 12:38

@lucysmam i tried getting a link but couldn’t find one that I thought would be useful. But any artshop in UK would work. I think Amazon too

Are you on a local neighbourhood watsap group or similar? Mine is very active and this is exactly the kind of thing people ask for. If you are local to me I might have some. Watercolour paper certainly and some other options is you are in East Anglia.

Luckydog7 · 21/04/2024 12:41

Google local reprographics/printing places and ask if they can buy a single sheet of a heavyweight paper.

NightPuffins · 21/04/2024 12:43

I buy nice writing paper in WH Smith's (yes, I still write actually letters by hand sometimes!).

TeabySea · 21/04/2024 23:20

Ebay or etsy perhaps.
I understood that some paperchase stuff was in Tesco (they bought out part of the company)
Craft shops, generally
WHS for calligraphy or watercolor paper
