DS 12 says hurts a bit when he goes for a wee - if gone tomorrow do we still need to get it seen?

Hello - for a potential UTI when it hurts when my son goes for a wee, the GP is closed today but do we always have to see the GP even if it's gone by tomorrow?

He will often complain of minor issues like this that are gone by the next day and our GP is a real trek away.

Just wondering if the pain seems to self resolve if it makes sense to see the GP or would I be worrying them about nothing.

Thanks!

I think its probably best you phone the surgery and put a urine sample in anyway.

I'd speak to a pharmacist today and see if they can recommend anything. I wouldn't leave it until tomorrow in the hope that it goes.

Get him to drink lots and lots of water in the meantime, I know it makes him wee more but that's what he needs to do.
