cab I ask you all for your short break ideas? Elderly parents mean we can’t be away for more than 4 nights (absolute maximum) - 3 nights preferably.
We have tween dc, we live in south London, and we would love to find some long weekends we could do as a family that won’t break the bank. Dh has some mobility issues so we need reasonably accessible places and no camping. (Static caravans are fine though)
Where have you been that is a few hours from London, but that is interesting/ beautiful/fun? My ideas so far are:
Manchester (will this interest a couple of london kids though?)
York (as above)
Isle of Wight
norfolk (but it’s a pain to get to from south London)
…. and then I’m stumped! Any ideas?
