Hi all if you love organising- have you got any tips? And do you buy lots of supplies like boxes and labels?

The boxes and labels are the last thing to buy.
First, declutter. You can get ideas on how best to do this online (Marie Kondo) or on TV (sort your life out).
Then start to put things away in the most obvious and logical place. You’ll soon see what needs labelling and/or boxing, or where your storage needs to be different.

I don’t do labels, but I do regularly declutter and buy pretty matchy matchy storage.

I don’t love to organise. I’m shite at it. But I’d say yeah probs declutter first then buy only what u need. I’ve done the opposite many times and never get round to things and am just left with even more stuff… all the gear and no idea !

I personally don’t think there’s a real need to ‘buy’ things unless you’re looking for a specific aesthetic.

Decluttering is the number one thing. Once you know what you own, organising comes naturally.

I have some print outs on the inside of the wardrobe door that lists what clothes I have by category (tops, cardi’s, jeans, pants, jumpers etc) then there’s a column for what size they are and then a column for their fit (long, oversized, tight on sleeves). If I see clothes I like I refer to my list to see if I really need it or if it will match a lot of stuff I own.

The kitchen cupboards are just kept orderly and I don’t hoard things like spices and dry food, but I don’t ’keep track’ of anything or keep things in special baskets.

I have 3 wicker baskets on a shelf in the wardrobe - underwear, socks, pj’s.

Avoid buying more storage and each week declutter 10 things from each room!
