How do you consistently do something?

I really struggle with consistency. I've been trying to loose weight for a while and I cannot consistently get to the gym, or eat healthy. The only time I've been able to loose weight is when I've been working towards a goal . I don't have an event that would force me to actually get the weight off.

I work full time and have a 2 year old who doesn't sleep through the night so it's hard to get to the gym in the mornings. By the time the evening comes round I'm exhausted and can't be arsed.

I tried meal preps but I get bored of the same food in just one day. I love food. I think about it all the time.

Anyone have any tips?

I’m in a class, we are a friendly bunch, and I think that’s better than just randomly going and doing weights/machines.
The family know I’m going, they dont bother asking me to swap as that class is written in stone.

It is hard without discipline, but you can try find something that doesn't feel like much an effort for yourself , start with 20min low impact workouts on youtube(grow with Jo is so much fun and easy) lot of women have lost weight from it . Also food plays massive part in loosing weight more than going to gym. I am not sure what you enjoy but some people just eat in smaller portions and not so healthy , some loves volume eating ,or try make your unhealthy craving into smth more healthy, you don't have to eat boring , you can make healthy pizza, kebabs , salad , everything in moderation is good . Or have you tried fasting , works great for some ?
