Went on a first date last night. For the most part, I really enjoyed it. Apart from one thing. He got my name wrong twice! I corrected him and he called me the same wrong name again. Would this put you off?

Possibly yes. However I have done this many times, even in interviews. It’s almost like a mental block.

I think I'd need to ask him who "not my name" is. If I liked him and felt some kind of connection I'd probably give it another date, but if he got it wrong then that would be it.

What did he say when you corrected him?

Was it a case of calling you Serina when your name is Selina, or was it like calling you Amanda when your name is Betty?

How you met is also probably pertinent. If you’ve been communicating electronically, it means you’re not the only one and he’s confusing his dates.
