Free to roost eggs - is this the same as free range?

Bought a box of eggs from Costco and it says "Free to Roost" on the box, I'm wondering what that actually means. Google just throws up free range, do they mean the same thing?

Normally that means 'Barn eggs' so not in a cage, but also not free to roam outside.

Unless it actually says "Free range" it's not. Just clever wording.
On the actual egg the number stamped should also start with 1UK for free range.
It changes though in any bird flu lockdown.

As far as I know Free Range Organic is the highest mass produced welfare egg.
There was a good thread on here the other day about it. (Obviously, being vegan is best for the chickens).

These are 2UK.

I'll make sure not to buy these ones again.
