Im covered in wax, help.

Tried and failed to wax my nether regions 😂
Soap in shower, body wash and moisturiser have done nothing to remove sticky residue.

Says something oil based online but what is oil based? I don't have any olive oil or coconut oil

I tried to wax my legs and ended up in sticky bits!!! I used cooking oil on cotton wool because I didn't have any baby oil 😂

Butter?

Got any Vaseline?

WD40

Literally any oil. Preferably unscented. Do not put sugar in it to make a scrub for gods sake! Just vegetable oil or body oil or whatever you have. You could even use butter to be fair Jusy work it around the wax gently and it'll come off. Then rinse gently, using a very mild soap. Don't be rough with your skin.

Raid your kitchen.

I use sunflower oil or vegetable oil after I wax my lip, it takes any residue straight off.

Beauty therapist here. I would soak a cotton pad (or several) in any oil you have, be it cooking oil or baby oil. And just keep wiping the residue. I would do something similar if I had spilt a wax pot on a trolly/floor. It will take some persistence.

Some waxes are much stickier than others. Not helpful for this time, but try a different one next time.

For this time, I would start by using a band to take off as much as possible, then as others have said, oil and patience.

If all else fails, stick on a pair of tights under trousers, then get on an aeroplane and fly to the southern most tip of Africa. After the 24 hour journey, you'll find the wax will have come off your skin (but unfortunately, your leg hair will have remained in place.).

For those of you considering this option, it's worth noting that it's quite tricky bending your legs when they are fully encased from ankle to bum in hardened wax and you are stuck on a plane for 14 hours. (The voice of bitter experience...)

Yup any oil and an old towel is better than cotton wool! Talking from experience!

Definitely oil and a rough towel. Many a panic wax the night before hols done here. Get a bikini trimmer.

I wouldn't, WD-40 has carcinogenic properties.

Try Nivea or body lotion if necessary.
