I'm organising an extended family holiday and we've booked a cottage in the Cotswolds for the weekend. The group will contain 25 of us - 3 generations with some babies, toddlers, preteens/early teens, adults and grandparents.

We will be leaving on a Sunday to head home but would like to stop off somewhere to continue the festivities. Last year we headed to Paulton's Park which was great as the littlies were entertained as were the older children. I'm struggling to find somewhere similar for this year that's roughly en route as we go home.

It doesn't have to be a theme park but if anyone has any suggestions for somewhere we could go, I'd be very grateful to hear them!

My 2 loved Odds Farm when they were about 6 & 9. The slides were a big hit

Wellington is great for kids, but pretty pricey! What time of year?

Bekenscot Model village?

Do you need indoor suggestions in case the weather is rubbish? You could always go to the Roald Dahl museum.

If the weather isn’t great but not terrible you could go to the Chiltern Open Air museum? If you watch Taskmaster some of it will be familiar!!

Blenheim Palace in Woodstock?

FamilyHol · 19/04/2024 21:29

It’ll be the end of June. We’ll have a couple of preschoolers and a handful of 10-14 year olds, which is why it was proving tricky to find somewhere.

These all sound like great options, thank you!

@ToxicChristmas I’d looked at Blenheim palace and seen they even have a circus for the weekend were there but I wasn’t sure if there was anything for the older children

Legoland?

Bekonskot model village is surprisingly interesting and fun. It has a playground and cafe as well.

Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary. I think they've got a new playground
