Does anyone else have any odd little things they do without really knowing why?

When I get to the office I have to scan my pass and it tells me which lift to get in. If I get Lift A I'm really happy and think it will be a good day, Lift B is fine just kinda average, if I get Lift C I think I'm going to have a bad day and feel stressed about logging on. I got Lift A today and was really pleased. In fact it motivated me to tackle a couple of difficult tasks I've been putting off.

I think I started doing this in my first week. I literally had no work to do or pressure, but found myself thinking, oh good Lift A.

Why am I like this?

Maybe you just prefer lift A? Possible subconsciously? I have all sorts of preferences in things that other people wouldn't even think of ranking. Like recycling centres. I have a favourite through to a least favourite. Toilet cubicles at work. They're identical but I have a preference. Favourite self checkout at the supermarket, it's no more efficient than the others.
