Baby Shower Gift

I bought myself a Beautifect Box, its the best thing I own and I would really like to gift one to my best friend at her baby shower. I know gifts are supposed to be for the baby, would it be wrong of me to give a gift like this to the mother instead of buying for the baby?

I got a few beauty things at my shower. Definitely socially acceptable

Not at all, maybe add a little note saying, “something for mum” and maybe get a little outfit or something small (if in your budget) and write a tag saying “something for baby”
