We've just agreed for our daughter (11) to have a phone. She has an Apple ID account with her tablet so that's been switched across to the phone with a new sim. However we are having trouble accessing WhatsApp as I'm guessing it's recognising her age as 11 and not 13.
Any ways around this or will have to set her up with a separate Apple ID account for her phone and up her age ??

You can change the age of allowed apps. Change it to 12+ under her profile on Family, go to screen time/ content and privacy/ content restrictions

We have just set it up for our 11 year old. It works fine. It does mean she can request other apps that are 12+ but she still has to ask permission to download them
