Sick note from GP - when do you need one?

DD has been off all this week due to a fall and hurt back, probably needs next week off too. When will she need a sick note?

You can normally self certificate for the first 7 consecutive days of illness (including any usual days off). So if the period of sickness includes a weekend, even if you don’t work weekends, those days still count in your 7. You need a fit note from day 8 onwards. This has been usual in all jobs I’ve had.

Ah ok so off monday to Sunday 7 days so will need Drs note from Monday. Thanks
