Random - thin men's work trousers

Random question. Does anyone know where you can buy men's work trousers, the type with lots of pockets, slots for kneepads etc, which are made of a thinner fabric?
My DS has to wear them for his College course and his current ones are a thick fabric, just thinking ahead to warmer weather.

Cheapo cargo trousers that are fashion- rather than workwear are the only thin fabric-ed varieties I've seen TBH (I have a trade so am familiar!). These don't have the knee pad pockets, obviously, but will also wear through incredibly quicker. If he is in a trade that sees the odd screw being put in a pocket, I would bother with the thin ones
If the shorts versions of regular work trousers aren't an option, thin 100% cotton T-shirts, regular thin socks (rather than thicker looped socks), and safety trainers instead of boots make a fair difference IME.

Snickers brand is good.

Have you got a uniform shop nearby? FS got trousers like that in an old fashioned shop selling school uniform , cubs and brownie paraphernalia and menswear. Is it worth googling workwear and seeing if there is somewhere near by?
