Do you ever get periods of 'I'm not sure what to do with myself '

Today is an example, I went to the office, did a half day there and then did the rest from home. I got home and was instantaneously bored of being at home. I then thought ok, lets go for a dog walk it's a beautiful evening, enjoyed it, but got bored half way through, then got home and was also bored.
Last night, went to the pub with a friend as I thought it would be nice to get out, when I was there, it was ok, but I was ready to go home, got home and was twiddling my fingers again.

It appears I go through phases of when I can make my mind up on what I want to do and nothing is fulfilling me.

Is this normal!?

I don’t think it is ‘normal’. I’m the same at the moment and along with a few other issues. For me I don’t know if it’s depression, midlife crisis, peri menopause or grief.

Yes. I have ADHD. Grin

My whole life is this feeling.

I get that when I am anxious. It's a bit like constant FOMO or the grass is greener - you get to the other side and wonder why you expected more. I get very restless and if I overthink it I can get racing heart and panic. I do also think it is part peri but I am waiting to hear about that (right age but hadn't considered it might be increasing my original anxiety diagnosis until recently)

Me too. Grin. Never happy with where I am. Happy going to something or somewhere, then immediately bored and agitated and need to be gone and to the next place.
