Am I over reacting

I took my baby out in the pram (he's nearly 10 weeks old) and the lift was broken so I attempted to get on the escalator with the pram (going up) and the wheel lodged and my baby was bounced down around 4 steps in the pram until I could pull the pram away.

Understandably he started hysterically crying and I started crying because I felt like an absolute idiot.. what was I thinking!?
No one else was around to see what happened

Should I take him to be checked somewhere?

He's been calm and normal self ever since but I keep replaying it in my mind

I feel like the worst mum in the world

You were going UP and the pram was bounced DOWN

And you were presumably behind the pram, holding it?? How were you not knocked down?

I can picture what you mean. He'll be fine as he's well padded and protected in his pram. He just got a big fright and that upset him. Have a big cuddle with him and stop worrying. If you were the worst mother, you wouldn't be thinking like this.

@OhHelloMiss I was behind the pram holding it so it was kind of bouncing on the moving steps about 4 or 5 steps until I realised this is a terrible idea and managed to pull it off the bottom of the escalator and not go any further

@Mabelface thank you, it's so hard not to overthink these things. He was fast asleep when it happened so you're right, he probably just got an awful fright as did I
