Dead mouse smell 🤢

I'm 99% sure that we've had a mouse die in the roof space above my utility room. The smell! We've had this before and it took a few weeks for the smell to go, but has anyone got any tips to help in the meantime? Can't access this space without knocking down ceilings and walls unfortunately (it's a 300 year old cottage with quirky nooks and crannies). I WFH and while I can shut the door to the utility, I still get a whiff of that awful sweet decay 🤢.

Bicarb absorbs smells.
Get a tub and put a few drops of nice smelling essential oil in, then leave it in there with the lid off.

Oust spray, it's fantastic. It will go but it'll take a few weeks and in the meantime Oust will work a treat.

Mice don't leave much behind when they die, so I suspect what has died in your roof will be something larger, such as a rat, a possum or a bird.

This is what you need: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Earthcare-remover-remove-smelly-smells/dp/B00O671ZYS/ref=asc_df_B00O671ZYS/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=231845867220&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1856836090045889269&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1006707&hvtargid=pla-377670011418&psc=1&mcid=1a9e7e64905c320895cd833565175e7f

Seems ridiculous but they genuinely work. Whatever you do, DO NOT buy the Rentokil odour sachet things. They are so unpleasant they will make you yearn for the mouse smell to come back.

I had a mouse die behind the radiator in my office at work. After a few days you could not even enter the room. Maybe it’s something else, like a small bird.
