It is ☹️
Prices are going to go up even more, and it's not even the Tories' fault.

yy I have heard similar from my farming wife chum. No veg planted at all yet this year and the cows are still not turned out (hoping to turn them out this week) It is frightening.

Yes it's grim.
I've noticed that a lot of the crop fields round by me are either not even planted yet or are looking sickly. I have an allotment and stuff that would normally be out and growing now isn't..the soil is too waterlogged.. even potatoes are risky and I reckon prices will be high later in the year.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed and growing as much rain tolerant veg as I can!

I've been trying to grow food this year too - before I read this though, and now I'm crossing my fingers tight that they will grow.

Perhaps we should start growing rice crops in the UK
