Where is hot for a Christmas holiday?

Just Canary Islands short haul?

Where would you recommend with kids age 6-14?

Canaries are warm, max 21c but not hot.

Cape Verde?

South Africa, Australia. UAE, Oman etc. Hot

Carribbean hottish. But not so much in Bahamas and Bermuda.

Canary Islands, pleasant and warm.

Hit and miss in Spain mainland.

Rain and early darkness elsewhere.

We went to canaries in January;it was warm but not hot by any stretch of imagination. Pools were freezing and needed cardigan afternoon / evening

The Met Office has a whole page of suggestions for hot holidays in December:

Costa del Sol, Portugal, Madeira, Malta.

Go to Australia... nothing beats the happiness of stepping into glorious unbroken sunshine and heat when the UK is dark and miserable!!!
We went in January this year (and took a toddler... flight was fine) and it was worth every penny!
