Great reads with unusual thought provoking themes?! No romance/murder mystery types....

As thread title really! Looking for great reads to keep me away from the TV, but am not at all a fan of anything with love/romance or crime/detective work/murder mystery as a central theme.. my exception to the romance is lessons in chemistry which I loved! Am also a fan of Matt Haig. Read the salt path trilogy in the last year which I enjoyed (slush haven't finished the third, admittedly, felt a bit 'samey') but Haven't read much else in years tbh - children were going and attention span and energy too low!!

Was a sci fi fan in my youth (not any longer!) then moved onto autobiographies for some years which I still quite like but would like to get back into inspirational fiction if anyone has any suggestions?!

Thanks in advance 😊

Unsettled Ground by Claire Fuller captivated me - quite unexpectedly, as it seemed a bit boring at the start. It's definitely thought provoking and not a romance or murder mystery.
