We’re having Indian ready meals tonight as DH working late but I welcome any ideas. Do tend to stick to the same few meals, even though I have loads of recipes torn out from magazines & some cookery books. I have a slow cooker.

Jamie Oliver aubergine pasta - one of the few vegetarian recipes that everyone likes.

Pasta bake, which, miracle of miracles, DS18 had started when I got home, bless him.

We had spaghetti bolognese (mushrooms and garlic plus a tray of roasted med veg I whizzed in the blender so the kids didn’t know it was in the sauce 😈), raspberries for pudding.

The easiest recipe ever and I use chopped, frozen garlic to make it even easier. We usually have garlic bread as well but I forgot to buy some 😭
It's an absolute life saver when I am tired or short on time, and by some miracle both kids like it!

TikTok roasted tomato and feta pasta. Cheap, easy and loved by all the meat eaters in my household!

Youdontknowmedoyou · 15/04/2024 19:40

Pancakes. They are delicious, even more so because I didn't have to make them myself.

DilkushaKitchen · 15/04/2024 19:42

We had pasta (recipe was orrechiette, but we had shells in, so they were good enough for me) with broccoli, chickpeas, anchovy and cumin, recipe was in the Guardian Feast at the weekend, it was very tasty and pretty quick.

Chicken Caesar salad, dressing was homemade. Plus home made banana and caramel cake for dessert.

I'm ill today so my DH made me tuna macaroni to eat in bed. It's my go-to meal when I am exhausted or not feeling well. He's having kippers.... I didn't ask him what with...

MadisonAvenue · 17/04/2024 19:36

Just me and our youngest son, he’s just been for a run and once he’s out of the shower I’ll be dishing up lasagne and garlic bread.

oatmeslheart · 17/04/2024 19:37

Fish cake and peas for me, chilli from freezer for him. Pot luck tea

DeanElderberry · 17/04/2024 19:42

My freezer is over full so it's a lucky dip week - yesterday mince with carrots and onions and peas, cooked a few weeks ago, today a vegetable curry - tomorrow will be mince again, but just raw meat I'd mixed with lots of herbs and probably some mustard before freezing, to be cooked as burgers and eaten with salad and stuff.
