I'm a 39 y/o woman of reasonably good health. I was recently in hospital for a week, due to having sepsis from an infection caused by a new coil.
I have been signed off work for two weeks, although I planned to go back before the end of this, but I'm really struggling with my memory. I went out today for the first time since leaving hospital and felt a little overwhelmed. I also seem to be quite forgetful and disoriented.
Has anyone had these as lasting effects? I'm usually so active and busy, it feels so alien to me to be this way. I'm worried about how this will impact my work going forward, as I have a busy, people facing role.
